About German and Nicolás Filipeli

Filipeli Brothers

They were born on June 9, 1985 in Lanús, Buenos Aires, Argentina. From the age of 15 they dedicated themselves to tango, trained in a school in the town of Lanús and successfully competed in youth tournaments in Buenos Aires where they acquired their first experiences as tango professionals winning the medals.

Then they enriched their training with other disciplines such as classical and contemporary dance. Both were often part of companies: Company Roberto Herrera, Leonardo Neck Company, Tanguera (Romay Productions), Divine Tango (Erica Boaglio and Andrian Aragón), Fusion Tango (Hernán Piquín). And from the beginning of age they were part of the main tango houses in Buenos Aires such as El Viejo Almacén, Madero Tango, Homero Manzi, Café de los Angelitos, Tango Rojo (Hotel Faena).

In 2010 they decided to meet again to start an investigation and develop together their dance that eventually came to debut with the Tango eyes orchestra of Analia Goldberg in the CC Torcuato Tasso. In 2012, invited to represent the "Argentine flag", participate in the Yeosu Expo 2012, represent their country against ambassadors and representatives from around the world. In 2013 and 2014, it will meet to offer a show in South Korea, the main show for the great Shilla Hotel, classified as a 5-star hotel in the city of Jeju Island. In August 2014, the jury awarded them the 4th place in the Tango World Cup, and they were revealed as the first couple of men to reach the final stages of the Tango World Cup.

With the distinction of being a sibling couple in reaching that stage, they took an independent position, emphasizing their partners and traveling the world on tours of Japan, South Korea, China, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Italy, Spain , Greece and other continents, like America, Europe, Asia and Oceania.

In a month later, they where invited to start a touring for Asia and Oceania with their company Reflection Tango. In addition to performing at national Argentine festivals in shows for the Government of the City of Buenos Aires, such as the debut of the new album of the Orchestra La Juan D'Arienzo.

In 2015 they toured with El Arranque directed by Ignacio Varchausky touring, Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Italy and Greece then the brothers continued their tour alone. On the return they were invited by Anibl Pachano and Valeria Archimo to baialr in Che tango che, where they toured the Argentine TV for their repercussion. They performed a show with Eleonora Casan in different theaters and events. In 2016 and earlier this year they traveled to Europe to take a tour throughout Italy , dancing at the first Casa de tango de roma (Gala Tango) by Stefania Corradetti in the margarita salon of Plaza España. In 2017 they toured the World Champions, one of the most prestigious in Japan with the Latin producer of min-on production.

In 2019 they were again awarded the 3rd place in the Tango World Cup, showing a different proposal and challenging themselves again.

They are currently preparing a show in Argentina with Korean production and preparing their tour of the United States exhibiting in milongas and show.

 

About German Filipeli and Rocio Leguizamon

German and Rocio

Rocio y German are Argentine dancers who have been together since the year 2000, united by the same passion, Argentine Tango.  With extensive experience in the Tango scene and Salon style of dance, based on studies of classical dance, contemporary dance and theater, they present a unique dance performance, characterized by skill, technique, passion and expression, without losing the essence of Argentine Tango. They have a lot of experience in choreography and studies of movements.  

As dancers, they have worked for the most important Tango Show Houses in Buenos Aires : Esquina Homero Manzi, Viejo Almacen, Señor Tango, under the direction of Anibal Pachano and Fernando Soler and Cafe de los Angelitos Tango house. They have also danced in most recognized milongas: Canning, Porteño y Bailarin, La Viruta, La Baldosa, Torcuato Tasso, El Beso, Sunderland and others.
In 2006 they were invited to learn in the best Academy Argentina of tango, with Carlitos Perez, Pupi Castelo, Flaco Dani, Osvaldo Zotto, among others.

They have been part of the company of Leonardo Cuello since the year 2000, and toured throughout Italy.

They are part of the company of the renowned dancer Roberto Herrera, as first dancers in his spectacular Show in Buenos Aires.

They were called to represent the Argentinian Republic at Expo 2012 in Yeosu, South Korea and participated at Tango Festival l Shanghai, China in the company Association Bang Tango.  

This year they toured Brazil with the company -Viaje al Sentimiento, as guest dancers. Twice, were invited by the South Korean Embassy, touring around the country and doing television appearances, with the spectacular Fever Fever Tango 1 and Tango 2 as head of the company.

At the Carlton Hotel in Cannes, France, they were summoned for the anniversary of the prestigious firm of Pandora Jewelry, and also for the company of "Tango Seduction”, under the direction of Gustavo Russo, for a tour of Greece, Israel and Eastern Europe.

They worked as dancers and teachers at Buenos Aires Restaurant Wines and Stike in Seoul, South Korea and were chosen for the short film "Elicit" within the framework of "The 48 Hour Film Project", winning the 1st prize and participating well in the Short Film Festival of Las Vegas in the year  2010.

They danced in the well known "Tanguera" in Buenos Aires (Teatro Astral, Teatro Solis of Uruguay and Politeama Rossetti in Trieste, Italy), in London at the Sadles Wells theatre, in Germany at the Deutsches Theater.

In Quito and Guayaquil (Ecuador) they represented the renowned House of Tango "Esquina Homero Manzi".

They conducted the first pilot  "A Rajatabla" of the Orchestra "Color Tango" with master Roberto Alvarez.

They also have traveled the world doing shows and conducting workshops in many International Festivals and tango schools in Korea, Australia, Sweden, Bali Island, Italy , Germany, New Zealand, Ee Uu , Chile and Spain among others.
